This time it gave me a wild thing that lived in the wood. It could have been a werewolf or a cryptid or something else fey and otherworldly, but as the story went on it seemed to want to be something a little more commonplace. I'm curious about the concept of domestication of animals--the human ability to charm other beings into living and working with us--and how much domestication shapes our history and culture.
