Miss V does not feel that Charlie is sufficently snuggly with her (he is actually curled up between my arms as I type this; go fig), so today she and Captain Midnight went to our friendly neighborhood kitty jail to find a snugglebug kitty to add to our household.
And here is the result:
Yes, another tortie. Her personality is very different from Roxy's, though. Don't let her perceived sleepiness fool you. I had to take this picture while she was snoozing because the rest of the time, she is 100% busy, hyperactive and full of FOMO.
The shelter named her "Miriam," though I doubt we're going to keep that name. She's only about a year old, but she was found on the street with a number of kittens, having recently given birth. Her tummy is still mostly shaved from the spay operation. I understand all her kittens already found homes. Frankly, she's not much more than a kitten herself.
The plan is to introduce her very slowly to Charlie, so the two of them can get used to the sight and smell of each other before we put them together. We don't want any serious fights.
She has a super squeaky meow.
