Vanity begins with V

Being the vain faerie that I am, I just have to show off something Miss V made for me quite some time ago:
A sinuous and lovely bracelet, made of bits of fused glass.

The colors shift depending on the direction of the light, but all are shades of peacock: metallic hues of chartreuse, aqua, navy. They are swoonily gorgeous.

Alas, I do not have dainty fairy wrists. But I really don't care.

V was originally displeased with this bracelet, because it didn't turn out quite the way she'd hoped. But I LOVE IT. It's the best example of serendipitous beauty that readily comes to hand. It really needs to be worn with something simple and black, so that it can be the star of the show.

(This is about as close to a discussion of fashion as I'm ever going to get, by the way. So if you've come here looking for pointers on the season's hottest eye colors, keep movin', Jack.)

Will the fashionable Miz V be markerting these fab bangles on
Etsy? I love it, too!

I shall ask her if she plans to make any more--these were a school project.

Well done Miss V! I'm not a style icon myself, but it's very nicely designed. And a good thing (from an artistic point of view) that she's not entirely happy with it...therein lies the path to improvement; self satisfaction is a destructive thing.

I have read your comments to Miss V. She is a bit skeptical (but also, I think, a bit pleased). Still not happy with the bracelet, although I am more than content to be happy with it instead.

Tell Miz V that I am not the only person on this planet who adores bracelets. the piece she made for you is shimmery and wonderful.
