Greetings from a foreign land!

Well, foreign to me, anyway. CM and I are currently having a leisurely breakfast... in my case that means a bowl of Weetabix and some currant bread with orange marmalade. In Captain Midnight's case that means Coco Pops. I think he is reverting to childhood.

Behold our street in the lovely suburb of Ealing.

Looking up the street (with a red post box inscribed with the royal cypher of George V)...

...and down the street.

Not shown: some very tired Americans.

We got into Heathrow just around noon on the 29th, which doesn't sound so bad until you reflect that it was 4 a.m. Seattle time. By the time we got to bed (at a very early 7 p.m.) we'd been awake for over 24 hours and were getting a bit punchy. We went out for a walk around the neighborhood in an attempt to stay awake; I'm sure we made quite a sight reeling around Ealing in the rain. Then we bought a couple of doner kebabs and sat on a park bench in Haven Common, noshing in the rain under our umbrellas. The joys of jet lag.

Today we're taking the camera with us, so expect to see some pictures here later. We are heading out in the general direction of the British Museum.

Oh yes, one more thing.... *squee!*
