Remember all the bad things I had to say about today? Forget 'em. Wipe the slate clean. Today was my lucky day.
For today, something arrived in the mail for me!
Burning with curiosity, I ripped it open to reveal...
All manner of delightful things Halloweenish! (Thank you thank you, kind fairy Tara!) I proceeded to do a joyous happy dance, greatly befuddling my husband in the process.
This tears it. Looks like I'm going to have to break down and finally get my ears pierced.

Argh! I couldn't remember for sure about the ears! I was afraid I had guessed wrong... Ah well. There ARE better excuses for piercing them than those silly pumpkin earrings, but if you need an excuse I suppose.... :-)
Glad it found it's way to you - and on quite the day! :-)
Truth to tell, my auntie made me a beautiful pair of earrings some time ago that I haven't been able to wear. I keep vacillating about getting it done.
Sooz, piece her virgin ears? I am shocked, simply shocked!
THPHBPT. It could happen.
My daughter counted the days until she could get hers done when she was 12. Are you obstaining for a particular reason?
Another sosf gift, hoe exciting! Hope you enjoy it all.
Penny.
Tara: my mom disapproved of ear-piercing when I was a preteen, and I wasn't particularly inclined to have my ears pierced then since it looked painful. Then, too, it was easier to find clip earrings that didn't look as though they were designed for old ladies, so I was pretty content.
These days it's largely a question of inertia, I suppose. That, and my little niece kept begging me not to do it. Go figure.
