Classifieds

We're thinking about buying a home. (Just thinking, mind you.) The sticking point is, we don't yet have enough money saved for the significant down payment most lenders require. We might be able to gather it faster if I picked up a little paying gig on the side. So I opened the Sunday edition of the Goodfolk Tidings and scanned the classified section, just to see how the local job market is going.

Among all the usual temp agency ads for tooth faeries and banshees and genii and so forth, I came across this little gem:
MURPHY - Seattle-area luckbroker seeks experienced murphy to coordinate and disburse karma. PT position to start, possible FT. 3+ eons experience in luck coordination required; retribution experience preferred. Must be willing to start immediately; several clients in desperate need of comeuppance. Competitive salary, benefits. Qualified applicants should email resume, salary requirements, favorite color to [REDACTED]. EOE
Don't know about you, but I haven't seen an ad for a murphy in a very long time. Personally, I'm not that hard up for cash. The thought of passing out bad luck, even to people who richly deserve it, has never been appealing to me.
Setting aside all illegal ventures, what wouldn't you do for money?
