The world's luckiest woman

This evening Captain Midnight and I went downtown to attend a House Buying 101 class. Ugh. Three solid hours of droning about short sales and hardship packages and points and foreclosures, punctuated only by excellent local pizza.

Nom. Thanks, Pagliacci!
By the time it was all over, it was past 9 p.m. But the overcast gloaming of the evening, the light rain over the cobblestones of Pike Place Market, and the fact that Captain Midnight was kind and patient enough to walk arm in arm with me even though I'd been a complete harpy in the car on the way over, did a lot to make up for what had come before.

And when we stood at the elevator waiting to descend to our car, and I looked out across Puget Sound and saw the lights of a departing state ferryboat, glimmering green and white in the half-light and slanting rain, it struck me again strongly just how fortunate I am -- to live in a place of astonishing beauty, to be married to the perfect person for me, to have so many blessings that I often fail to recognize them or take them for granted.

Life is amazing.

our new favorite pizza place!

It's impossible to go a day around here without feeling so blessed as we are surrounded by such beauty!

I've heard of that place, but have never been. Hmm. Investigations are in order.

Just googled Puget Sound, it does look like a beautiful place indeed!

I am a bit biased in its favor. :)
