Ducky Mama

Meet Louie.

Louie is a mallard duckling. He(?) and his two brothers Huey and Dewey were abandoned by their mama.

Miss V's dad and uncle found them and took care of them. Two of the ducklings died (one from stress, one from suffocation) but Louie seems hale and hearty.

Anyway, Miss V's dad called and asked if she'd like to do a little ducky-sitting.

No duck could have a finer caregiver.

Miss V slept next to his little plastic box all night long, hand-feeding him and giving him water and making sure he had everything she could provide.

She's a good foster mom.
