I can't catch a cold if I stop chasing it

My throat is getting sore and I keep sniffling. But I've already decided. I am not getting sick.

I just won't.

I'm NOT. GOING. to PARTICIPATE.

I have managed to stay extraordinarily healthy (in most other respects) since I was diagnosed with diabetes, and I'd like to keep it that way. The diabetic body's first response to illness tends to be "Hey, I know! Let's elevate blood sugars!" No, you idiot, stop that! I don't have time to fiddle-fart around with being ill right now. I've got... STUFF... to do. And THINGS. Lying around being sick is not on the docket.

So. I'm taking a hot shower and going to bed. And when I get up in the morning, the common cold will have packed its bags and headed for Detroit. RIGHT?! *glower*

ETA: turns out if you stop chasing a cold, it turns and catches you instead.
meh. MEH! *sniffle* meh.

Chicken soup makes everything better, though.

Haha, I was thinking almost exactly the same last Monday. Unfortunately the cold had decided that my body is an heavenly place to stay, so it's not going anywhere yet.

Anyway, I hope you're able to get through the cold without too much annoyance!
