For the last week and a half I've been devoting much of my energies to Miss V, who is visiting for the summer. Everything else has largely gone to pot as a result. The weather has also -- finally -- started to heat up around here, and I'm feeling drained.
Have made a few things, though. Here's a card, fashioned from the illustrations in a discarded library book I picked up back in May:
A final party scene from the book Each Peach Pear Plum by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. I wonder if they'd be pleased with the results.
(Incidentally, this has become the one blog entry that receives the most love from casual websurfers. I guess there are a lot of Each Peach fans out there. Welcome!)
There are several more cards in the works -- one illustration of Robin Hood was made into a birthday card for my nephew, and there's another one that's earmarked as a new baby card -- but not tonight. Tonight I am going to crawl into the arms of Morpheus and stay there a good long while.

Ah, Each Peach - one of the great British classics. Sadly Janet is no longer with us, she died several years ago. I wondered where you had gotten too, now I know - enjoy your sleep!
What a great idea for a card. The above comment was mine but then I noticed I was signed in under my sons name so changed to me.
Woo-hoo! I'm glad you are having fun and the cards you're making are charming. If you drive back be sure to stop at our new B&B. The hosts are quite charming, themselves.
Hey - give me a call. I want to see if you guys are interested in a medieval outing (Camlann?) on Saturday...? :-)
Hello, good to see you're still blogging.
