Well, we've run out of sunlight again.
This always seems to happen around the tail end of January in the Pacific Northwest -- the quarts and quarts of sunlight we preserved last summer finally give out, and we're stuck putting up with unbroken gray drizzle for the next three or four months.
Unless... hang on, there's got to be something in back here... blackberry juice, apricot ambrosia, pickled cloud... ah, here we are!
BEY-HOLD! Made from my gramma's own recipe two years ago, and still good!
Hey, it may not look that fabulous in the jar, and it's not as strong as sunlight, but it's delightful in its own right.
I've got to figure out a way to keep track of the stuff in my pantry. Last week I found some snow chutney dating back to 1994... it might still be OK, but I'm not taking any chances.

Wonderful!! I just ran and checked and I still had a couple of small rainbows left in the bottom of the freezer!
Remember, people, rotate your stocks.
